Autumn Leaves

When the trees and every leaves around you look photoshopped ie. increase in contrast and saturation, you can be sure that you are somewhere in the middle of Autumn. This beautiful scenery  is a result of trees and plants adjusting to the lack of sunlight ( geeky April talking). You can say that the leaves are actually dying, changing their colour from green to brown and the in-between colours are just too pretty.

Quick update:  I've told you guys before that I was doing some volunteer work at my local charity shop and sadly, I had to leave after 4 weeks. The reason being is I got the job that I applied for! Yay! So much for growing up and paying for the bills right? And hey, this also means I can buy some amazeball clothes. Ya' know what I'm saying?

For this post, I'm wearing this very comfy, very warm coat and the one that bags most of the compliments from people. Camel coat is a must have. I'm also wearing this snood/hoody with aztec pattern on it. For my inners, I'm wearing my velvet turtle neck and a skort. To complete the look, I chose to wear my wedge shoes which I got about 3 years ago. It has that autumn vibe and the inner detail of these shoes is just perfect for the cold weather.

Let's enjoy this season with some hot chocolate and warm clothes..

Lately, I am being confronted with so many questions about life, specifically the paradoxes it offers. People always say learn your strengths and sharpen them. Decipher your weakness and eliminate them. Blessings and Curses are the two paradoxes I want to talk about. I always tell myself that as long as my heart is beating, I am blessed. You know, I have a home, a really good family, I can eat three times a day. All these basic things that we tend to take for granted are the most important blessings we have. Life is a blessing itself. Curses, on the other hand sound so mythological or magical perhaps but I can still feel its power somehow. Sometimes your strength can be your weakness, a blessing and a curse. Let's use love as an example. Growing up, my view about love changed and is still changing I guess. From "butterflies in your tummy" to "laying your life down for your brother". Love is something that has driven me strongly about life. It is the loudest noise in this world yet speaks to us in whispers. I can say that love is my strength. At the same time it is my curse and I guess everyone's curse. C.S. Lewis said that "to love is to be vulnerable". You can never love without letting your walls down. It isn't love if it doesn't break your heart. Love can sometimes drive people crazy. Their love for money, success, material things or even someone. Sometimes I feel like love is a curse, a curse given to you from the moment you were born. You were destined to feel love and to love but this also means to hurt and to feel hurt. I guess there's always the good and bad side in everything. That's what makes this life unique.

Well hello November...ber, ber, brrr..brrr. Yes, the probability of chilly climate here in London is now higher than the humid breeze of summer though the weather is being bipolar at some point. The time has moved an hour back, extra sleep for me! Now, let's get down to the outfit..  Checkered is one of my favourite patterns and thankfully it landed on a beautiful poncho. This coat is from Stile Benneton which was featured in Benneton AW12-13 Woman Collection. I always go for the easy outfits and this poncho coat surely offers me that. Autumn and Winter is all about layering and this coat allows so much space for me to add more layers underneath. Inside I'm wearing a crop top, a pencil skirt and a full black kimono dress. When it comes to footwear, chunky ones seem to dominate this fall. They don't just offer style, they also add inches to your height and hey, I like being tall. I added my minimalist necklace to complete the look.

There you go lovely readers. I hope you liked this look and hopefully I can post more blogs to share with you guys some fashion gems that I will find.. Ciao!
