Walks

Greetings to you readers! Hope you're having a good day whatever weather you're in right now. I've mentioned on the previous blog that I have been volunteering ( I'm still thankful for the long coat I got) at my local charity shop. Just this week I received a call from the job I am applying for and fortunately got an interview, yay! I hope and pray that all things go well..

Anyways! Last Saturday, my sister and I had a little walk and took some photos of me wearing this outfit. I enjoy walks. I don't mind getting tired and that's exercise for the day, right? Taking walks just give me time to think, more vividly I guess. And the smell of fresh air! The sound the trees make when the breeze touches them. We are too caught up with getting to the destiny that we forget about the journey and beauty is often found in the walks, the journey. Enough with my sentimental side!   The outfit I'm wearing is a combination of comfort, warmth and statement. Turtle neck jumpers are just perfect for autumn. Let me say that again..perfect. I am also wearing my slit black skirt. And yes, ankle boots! I thought of adding my aztec cardigan, which I think has Fall printed all over it. Another fashion inspiration for you lovely readers! I hope that you like this look.. Till the next blog, God bless!

Don't you just love hot chocolates? I'm thinking of making myself one once I finish writing this.

-Love, April

Long Coats Will Do

Hello there readers! First and foremost, I want to thank you, yes you for visiting my blog. Yay! Second on the list is to talk about this outfit, so here we go!  Here in the United Kingdom, you can expect to get all the seasons in a span of two weeks. That's how bipolar the weather here can get. My last post was all summery and just after a week, I'm in my autumn clothes! I used to hate the cold. Well I guess it's because I grew up in a tropical country, the Philippines. It took me a while to adjust, honestly. But what made it easier for me to accept the reality of autumn and winter is the idea that you can still enjoy them as long as you're in the company of fashionable and stylish thick clothes. Man, do I love coats. As a kid, I've seen these movies filmed in cold countries (I can't help but choose Narnia as an example, haha) and always wondered how it is like to wear those thick coats. Are they  heavy? How do people even walk in those duvet like clothes. Fortunately, I can now answer my own questions. Coats are just everywhere here in England!

I've been volunteering at one of our local charity shops here in West London. It has been just three days but I can say that I am enjoying it. One of the perks of volunteering at a charity shop, second to making new friends ( still working on my social skills), is that you get to see most of the clothes first before the customers. This means one thing, you can lust over some stuffs and maybe decide to buy them. One of the item that really caught my eyes was this long coat. And if your fortunate enough, the item that you want is actually in your size! I didn't even try the coat on before buying it. Do you believe in destiny? Because I think that this coat  was meant to land on my good hands. Long coats are such an eye candy for this year's autumn/winter fashion. So why not visit your local charity shops? You might just find one like this for a couple of pounds. The black dress really suited the cream long coat ( but then again, black suits literally everything!). To complete the look, I chose this rugged black boots that my mum got from a car boot sale. A cherry on top of a cake wouldn't hurt so I added my marble ring to this look as my last touch. I hope you guys are pleased with this look and hopefully have given you some ideas on how to style for the autumn season. There are a lot clothes that can only be enjoyed in autumn, so autumn, please take you time.

Till the next blog! God bless..

White Out

Pleated Skirt  - Primark  || Black Leather Bag - Cobaco || Sandals - River Island

I hope it's not too late for a white-on-white outfit. I've seen quite a lot of outfits showing off those simple, minimal and if not all white, some with a touch of white quite a lot on fashion blogs. Personally, I'm not fond of colourful or flowery fashion and this is why I always fall in love with minimal outfits. If I were to choose which fashion era I would prefer to live in, it would be the 1950s which in other words is the 'Audrey Hepburn Era' (I just came up with that). I admire women who show little which renders them mysterious and I believe Audrey Hepburn portrayed this really well.      There are those times where my mum and I watch these old movies and we just admire the fashion back then. Talk about vintage, there are two items in this outfit that perfectly defines the word vintage. The white knitted jacket that I'm wearing was a gift twenty years ago to my mum from her Korean friend. One thing that I inherited from my mum if fashion sense is actually genetic, is my eye for vintage stuffs. The first time I saw this jacket, I loved it and surprisingly,  my mum trusted me with it. The second item which you have probably have guessed is the leather bag ( well done you!). This minimal bag is unbelievably older than me and this makes me one hundred times careful and conscious every time I wear it. Crop tops was a highlight for this summer and pleated skirts will never be an old school. The leather sandals that I'm wearing are one of my favourite purchases. Seems like summer is finally over now here in England which makes it a perfect time for me to say this... bring on Autumn!!!
